How a solera off-grid system
works:

The Solar Off-Grid system provides self-sufficient electricity and is not connected to any other hydro source. For example, if you have a remote building, a cottage or other structure that has no power, the Off-Grid system will deliver full green power to run your lights and appliances. It is the first choice for cottage owners who may have never had power in the past. A Solera solar consultant can provide a full assessment of your needs, and recommend the ideal Solera solution.
How a solera grid-tied system
works:

The Solar Grid-Tied system is linked to your current energy source, or “grid-tied”. The power you generate with your solar system can be sent back to the grid and you are credited for the power at a considerably higher rate than you pay for power from the grid. See below for details on the Ontario Standard Offer Program. The system can be sized to generate just some, or most all of what your home consumes. As long as there is light, your system will generate power. A Solera solar consultant will visit your home and provide a full assessment of your needs and requirements.
How a solera air heating system
works:

The Solera SolarSheat system panel heats inside air. The amount of heat produced is based on the volume of air passing through the solar panels and the degree of sunshine. The SolarSheat is a supplemental heating system. It does not work at night. No AC electricity is required.
How a solera water heating system
works:

The Solera Solar Thermal system is the most cost effective system in the Solera suite of solutions. The system circulates a fluid through one or more roof-mounted solar collectors where it is warmed and then sent through a heat exchanger inside your solar hot water tank. This pre-heated water then flows into your existing water heater dramatically reducing its energy consumption.
